Skier Cheyene Brown getting air in a race

Hi, my name is Cheyenne Brown I am 18 years old from Donner Summit, California. I grew up skiing all around Lake Tahoe chasing my brother down the slopes, which is where my love for speed skiing started. This last season I raced the FIS/ Nor Am circuit and had a fairly successful season, winning a super G and a Downhill, which secured my spot into US Senior Nationals, as well as getting 9th in the JR Nationals Super G. This upcoming season I will be travelling the FIS/ NorAm Circuit with the squaw valley ski team in pursuit of the US Ski Team. In the future, it is my dream to represent USA on the World Cup circuit.

I have quite a few goals but I’m willing and excited to start working towards them. I would like to be top 5 in the NorAm rankings for speed, as well as going to US Nationals and podiuming in the downhill. I would like to stay consistent all season and be top 20 every race! Skiing is my passion and I know what steps I must take to ski fast and I am willing to work hard on and off the snow to achieve these dreams.

When I am not skiing I spend most of my days hiking with my dogs or I am out on the lake water skiing. I like to do anything that gets me outdoors. I also enjoy a good book.

This past fall I was in Italy training with the Western Region, we were on snow for 14 days and it was a great experience. I was very star struck by this camp because I have never been in that environment before. The 15 or more lanes, side by side, rock solid glacier ice, and crazy long lift lines. The training was amazing and we really had to step up our game because we were in the big leagues. I am now currently at Copper Mountain getting the last bit of training before the crazy race season starts. I am very hopeful and excited for the upcoming season.
